It also provides cover for Dependent children aged from 1 day to 25 years.
Sum Insured under Corona Kavach Policy
Under this policy, Minimum Sum assured is from INR 50,000.
And the Maximum Sum assured is up to INR 5, 00,000.
Policy Period offered by Corona Kavach Policy
It has three different Policy periods, similar to Corona Rakshak Policy.
- 3.5 Months Policy Period 6.5 Months Policy Period
- 9.5 Months Policy Period
This policy made to cover the cost of Hospitalization due to coronavirus. It is a kind of reimbursement policy that covers the bills for treating coronavirus.
Under this policy, there are 15 days of Waiting Period. It won’t cover if you get infected positive with coronavirus before 15 days of getting this policy.
There is a 5% discount in Premium on this Policy for Health care workers.
- To claim! Corona related policy, the COVID-19 Positive report should be generated only from Government authorized Diagnostic centers.
- As per every med-claim policy, the minimum Hospitalization should be 24 hours
It covers costs for Boarding, Nursing, Surgeon, Medical Practitioners, Room rent, Anesthesia, Blood, Oxygen, ventilator charges, Operation theatre, Medicines, ICU expenses, and importantly PPE Kits, Masks, and Gloves.
It covers the cost for the treatment under Comorbid conditions such as disease that happened after tested Positive Coronavirus or pre-existing disease got active during coronavirus treatment.
This policy also covers the expenses of Homecare treatment. As many people are turning out to be coronavirus positive, due to lack of beds in the hospital, the people are undergoing Home-Quarantine under Government guidelines.
